From the Archives: Long Beach Criterium 1991...

While the Chevrolet / LA Sheriff men's team is well known, the women's team were quite impressive in their own right, back in the early to mid 1990s. Many of the women from those years are still active in racing and/or other aspects of cycling. Among the names you may recognize who raced for the team back then are Pam Schuster, Christy Nicholson, Elizabeth Emory, Esther Davis, and Molly Renner, among others. There are six ladies wearing the green and yellow in the above photo taken during the old Long Beach series. Anyone here have a good eye for faces, and can identify any of them?

    1. For good, or bad, I've never given it up, although I could never really sprint anyway.
