El Roble Bike Club...

And since I have not been writing much about the local cycling scene lately, my son reports that the El Roble Intermediate School Bike Club held its first meeting today, and that good times were had by all. The school principal, Dr. Grier, took a tall bike for a spin. The bike itself was brought to the meeting by a student from the Colleges, who also happens to work at the Green Bike program shop on the campuses. After that they test rode each others bikes, discussed a tandem rebuild project they hope to undertake, the possibility of volunteering at the 2011 Tour of California, and getting together for rides and training. I only wish I were there for tall bike photos.
