It may be raining today, more so in fact than we normally expect to see this time of year, but looking back, this makes yesterday's ride, as the storm was still trying to gather its strength, all the more satisfying. Marshall Canyon was surreal for the silence that seemed to have enveloped it, while the CHWP was reveling in the dramatic views which always seem to be so much better this time of year, and in the face of approaching storm-like conditions.
