Would it not have been something special to be there for that event (or both, for that matter). I understand he is an ambassador for the London 2012 Olympic Games, so we may be seeing more of Mr. Godwin in the coming months.

Tommy Godwin on the Track...
This is one of those things you just feel compelled to share: 91 year old Tommy Godwin, Olympic medalist in 1948, back on the track at Herne Hill Velodrome. Original post is at the Brooks Blog (check out the story and other photos there), and I saw the link for it at Prolly Is Not Probably.
