Bikes are great tools for developing imagination. When I was a kid I lived all kinds of adventures on my bike - I could be Evel Knievel one day, a world explorer the next. As long as there was air in the tires and a chain to make them go round, there was no end to what I could do and see. Later, after my son was born, we had great fun at bedtime, reading Where the Wild Things Are. I like to think those times spent reading of an imaginary boy's adventures have contributed to my own sons lifelong pursuit of adventure and imagination.
Rest In Peace, and thanks for the Wild Things, Maurice Sendak.
