Well, hold up now. If you have not heard, there has apparently been enough objections raised concerning the new hours, that the city council will be reevaluating them. Seems people like being able to view the sunrise from the park, or are only able to enjoy the trails during those earlier hours. Expect some more on this following the next council meeting, October 11.

The city council has changed their policy to hours that change monthly:
ReplyDeleteParking for the Claremont Hills Wilderness Park is located at the park entrance on Mills Avenue as well as the overflow parking lot at the northeast corner of Mills Avenue and Mount Baldy Road. Construction to expand the north parking lot is underway and the lot is scheduled to reopen in March 2013.Parking permits will be needed to parking in the lots
When visiting the Claremont Hills Wilderness Park, please be aware of areas that are designated as "Parking By Permit Only". Unauthorized vehicles may be towed.

January 6:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
February 6:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
March 6:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
April 6:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
May 5:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
June 5:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
July 5:30 a.m. - 8:30 p.m.
August 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.
September 6:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
October 6:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
November 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Park visitors in violation of these hours may be subject to a citation.
