Safe Routes to School webinar...

A new webinar from the Safe Routes to School National Partnership has been announced, entitled "Involving Bike Shops in Safe Routes to School". I don't see any additional specifics for this, but you can register for the event here. Bike shops tend to be overlooked in their potential to be proactive cycling advocates, but through outreach efforts such as maintenance clinics, shop rides, demonstrations, etc. they do a lot to promote cycling. Benefits move both ways when shops become active in their communities, so this might be a good event to participate in whether you are a bike shop owner, school administrator or staff, or concerned parent.
